I am a quantitative geomorphologist interested in sediment transport and erosion mechanics. I utilize a combination of mathematical modeling, physical experiments, and field data to better understand the  processes and governing physics which underpin landscape form and shape Earth's surface.

I am currently an Alexander von Humboldt post-doctoral fellow, based at GFZ-Potsdam, working on rock damage and healing effects on bedrock erosion.

I received my PhD at UC-Santa Cruz, working with

Noah Finnegan on the biological and physical modifications to the onset of sediment motion.

I'm excited to join the faculty in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis in January 2020!

I am also committed to increasing diversity and inclusion across the geosciences.  For more information, check out the outreach page and the GEODES homepage!
