GEODES

The primary goals of GEODES are to (1) provide a safe space that fosters community and mutual support among women at all stages of their careers, and (2) raise awareness towards issues known to limit the participation and success of women in geosciences. We will achieve these goals by holding monthly meetings comprising a mix of formal and informal social/networking functions, interactive discussions, and occasional guest lectures or workshops. We will also host an annual overnight geology field trip for women in the department.
